Big Bass Boat
Big Bass Boat is one of those games I expected to bounce off in ten minutes and ended up keeping on my home screen. You steer a small boat around different fishing spots, drop your line, and read the ripples to decide when to reel. The core loop is calm, but there's a surprising amount of feel to the timing once the bigger fish start showing up.
Controls are all one thumb. You tap to cast, hold to keep tension, and release when the meter lines up. On a phone that setup just works, and I never felt like I was fighting the screen. The progression opens up new spots and better gear at a gentle pace, so there's always a small reason to load it up again.
It's not a deep game and it doesn't pretend to be. What it does well is fill short breaks with something quietly satisfying. If you want tension and adrenaline this isn't it, but as a wind-down title it earned its spot in my rotation.
